Great food good service if your looking for a quality but quick bite with a nostalgic atmosphere check it out.

Small place, connected to a gas station. Didn't expect much, but the burger was great as well as service.

Used to love eating here. Never been in an Alta before and as I walked in for the first time I was assulted with criminal accusations and treated absolutely horrible. I do not see myself stepping foot in another Alta ever. And since there is no other way to get to Big Daddy's Dinner, I guess I won't be enjoying the diner anymore either. 😟

The theme of the diner is the 50's, and the food is delicious, with plentiful portions. I had the chicken fried steak.

I came here once before covid19 and had a great breakfast. I was sad to see they're not open yet (but will be soon!) A great place to grab a bite.

We waited a long time for our food to be prepared, but there were nine of us , although there weren't many other customers. Several of the meals were way overcooked. Hamburger was dry, onion rings and fries were crunchy, hard and tasteless from overcooking. Only one of the nine of us was satisfied with their meal. Maybe we just caught you on o bad night, but won't be back.

Average at best. Very pricey food was ok staff was nice.

Get here and enjoy! This dinner has an amazing atmosphere as well as super tasty foods. I recommend Philadelphia Cheese Steak with fries...

We've tried this place numerous times with hope our meal will be better than the last. Each time we are disappointed. In the many times we've gone there we've gotten served cold soup, not even luke warm. Served a slopper burger that tasted burnt. Served a pulled pork sandwhich totally disassembled and very dried out pulled pork. Served a club without any condiments. The 2 stars for for the friendly service though. Each waitress has been very accommodating and nice. They need new chefs in the kitchen though.

Consistently excellent service and tasty home cooking in a fun atmosphere. The staff is great with kids. Love the burgers and fried foods, and the $5 shakes/malts are worth the price! Giant & delicious.

We just dumped and filled our fresh water here a couple times while in the area it was great! Cheapest place in the area for sure.

Food was very good and if you like old cars, there are tons of pics. That old diner vibe. Strawberry shortcake was yummy, made with a biscuit. Service was also very good.

This is a great place for breakfast and lunch! They do not have many good dinner options though. The place is very clean and it is in the same building as a gas station which is very handy. Good place over all!😁

Big Daddy's Diner is a great place to eat good old-fashioned American food in a retro diner environment. Their French Dip is superb and the chocolate malts are exquisite. They've got a pretty vast menu and the service is always on point; totally top-notch. The waitresses that have served me have always gone the extra mile. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I feel like the prices on a lot of items are pretty high and I can certainly get those things cheaper in other places in Cañon City. The hours are also not very late, but that seems to be something about living in a small city that this former St. Louis dweller and Night Owl just needs to get used to.

My wife and I are from Indiana and where in Canon City on vacation and found Big Daddy's Dinner . It was AWESOME! The dinner was clean, the service was outstanding! The food was excellent! I give TWO THUMBS UP!! Thanks!

Fantastic service, great food, 60’s atmosphere. Our waitress knew we were from out of town, she was super sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. She treated us, just as she did her regulars.

Prepare for all the homeless people sitting outside of this restaurant/gas station that smells like urine. The burger I had wasn't bad tasting at all.... later that night I had stomach knots though

Came here with my kids, today. Great food and service. I ordered a large breakfast burrito and kids had grilled cheese with fruit! They have great green chili!! Btw, very kid friendly!

Great hole in the wall! Our waitress Monique was funny and the best! We got the Reuben with fries, the Turkey bacon sandwich with a cup of chili, and the fried okra. Loved the memorabilia, a nice touch. Super happy customers and highly recommended!! Convienetly located next to a gas station too.

Employees dont care about anything other than other employees not doing what they are supposed to. They all want to leave so bad no one cleans. The place is disgusting. They are not allowed to close or stay closed long enough to properly clean after the exterminator comes in to attempt to spray away the cockroaches. Owner would rather everyone see all the bugs dead or alive I guess?! All the waitresses are completely rude and two faced. The cooks are always busy either fighting each other, or smoking pot IN THE KITCHEN!!! Just watch! Pay attention and you will see everything I'm talking about!

This post is for Hank's gas station and RV stop convenience store. They recently changed owners I guess (used to sell Shell now Exxon) We used to get free RV dump there with a fill up. (I always get my gas there) now charge 10.00 per dump no matter what. Used to be my favorite station in town ,now not so sure. Shell used to be top rated gasoline, not so sure about Exxon.
